it's amazing really, even though you'll never see this, but thank you so, so much, for auditioning for sm entertainment and being the stars you are today. even though i've only been a fan for like, what, 7 months? you have been something i can't describe and i can't even say how much you mean to me. tvxq - it's not a phase, not just me and my obviously fangirl-obsessed mind, but you guys and your music help keep me going even though all i want to do is just stay there and slap myself till i die. it would be a dream come true if i could actually see you face to face, i want to tell you how you've kept me going and how much you've done for me just by making your music and just doing what you guys love - singing. as long as you keep singing and speaking out towards the millions of fans you have, it might feel like you're talking to me and i'll feel special as well.

080712 -National Literature Festival.

As a member of CGSSB, it should come of no surprise when you are expected to be at the National Lit. Fest. and at band practice, to run like crazy from one location to another.

It also makes those temperamental people like me very very irritable.

Saw Louisa on the way up to prepare for debate, ended up helping me for a bit before she went to look for her RMUN friends. Now I can recognise Liki, and not only by his uniform. I think I know who Akilan is too, but meh :|

Okay, okay, off topic.

As expected, slaughtered by Catholic High during Unseen Debates.

But the Chair said I spoke well, even though I epicly FAILED during rebuttals by raising point of information even though we weren't supposed to. Epic fail, yes?

I'm glad for Cat High though, they were good, even if their first speaker was halting and seemed to be very nervous. Their points were definitely more solid than ours at any rate.

Prize giving... I ponned half an hour of combined for it. :| And all the Crescent debate teams lost. Ohwell, at least we tried hard, yeah? :D

I didn't see Azalea though. :/

080713 - National Band Competition 2008

We did it.

CRESCENT GIRLS' SCHOOL SYMPHONIC BAND IS GOLD.

So. Damn. Happy.

I heard Mrs. Chua cried because all her bands got Gold, and Anglican High came in top of the division, getting a Gold with Distinction.

But like Joan said on the band blog:

NBC is merely a stepping stone. How so very cliche, but things that are true are said many times and thus made cliche. See the bigger picture. Look for greater heights. Soar beyond your reach. And most importantly, don't look back in anger. Every moment in band and with the band is precious and should not be received with angst.

For Band is not merely a CCA.
It never was just a CCA,
And it never will be.
It's so much more.

Agreed. CGSSB is gold, but we'll have to work even harder for SYF'09, where we'll go there with pride in our music and ourselves, and win that Gold with Honours we desire.

Like our band motto says: Et bientot le Meilleur; the best is yet to be.

On a happier note:

I finished my fic for Renaissance. 3000+ words of angst, romance and suicides.

My beta is going to KILL me when she finishes with it.

My verdict after three days of e-learning.

E-Learning is not to be compared to a classroom environment, I find myself more productive there than at home, where I sit and rot like a vegetable. Go figure.

Even if I do enjoy waking up late and ficcing. And going on MSN so early in the morning.

Highlights:

Epic twelve hour chats with changmin.
Sneaking onto LJ and MSN while the teachers aren't looking.
Definitely, waking up late.
giving teachers a headache by having to track 41 replies in one conversation.

Lowlights:

Heucampus is an irritating software. It crashed my computer. TWICE. And once, my taskbar disappeared.
Zhu laoshi locking our screens when he discovered me and Valerie. Busted.
I lost my calculator.
I left Kahu in school.

Compare and contrast, please.

Anyway, National Lit. Fest. tomorrow. Band practice tomorrow. @__________________@

Yes, I can do both reasonably well. Guess the cooking lessons I've had ever since I was a child paid off. I enjoy cooking anything, really, I don't really have much of a preference. Probably my family's recipes.

2. What are the five things you can't leave home without? Why?

Phone for contact-ability. iPod because... music is my life. :D Wallet because I need the moolah. EZ-link card for the bus and train. pen/paper, because i'm forgetful like that and need constant reminders.

3. What does your username mean?

silhouettedwing. I thought of this on a whim, really. because one of my LJ friends was winged_requiem. and I used the wing from there. I was skimming through a fanfic (it was a Naruto one, I believe) and I just though silhouetted sounded really pretty, so I dumped them both together.

4. What's your ultimate OT3 and why?

Um. For dong bang, I think it has to be YunJaeChun. :D I don't really know why, but I think the three of them are closer to each other, in terms of age and through their interaction. For Super Junior, ShiHanChul FTW. though I'm not clear on why exactly I ship them.
